You are a citizen of a country that has a visa regime and you need a visa to enter the Republic of Serbia. If you are wondering how to get the short-stay visa, you are in the right place. Here is what you need to know:
Short-stay visa, or as we also call it - C visa, is your ticket to visit the Republic of Serbia for a period of a maximum of 90 days within 180-day period from your first entry. This visa allows your enter, transit and short stay, and is the right choice when you are planning a short travel, whether for personal, business, or tourist purposes. You may obtain a C visa for one, two or more entries into the country.
To initiate the process of obtaining a visa, all you need to do is fill out the online form available on this platform, or if you find it more convenient, you may do it in person at any embassy or consulate of the Republic of Serbia. You can apply for a visa no earlier than three months before your planned travel.
If more people are registered in your passport (for example, your children are registered in your passport), a separate visa application must be submitted for each of them.
Do not forget that the diplomatic and consular representative office of Serbia in whose consular territory you are lawfully residing is in charge of acting upon your request. However, if you are transiting a country and you urgently need a visa, you can also apply at the diplomatic and consular representative office in that country upon submitting evidence as to why you need an urgent travel to the Republic of Serbia.
Before you initiate the visa application process, you need to clearly define the reason for your visit. Please study in detail the one corresponding to the reason for your visit and prepare the necessary documentation in keeping with the chosen grounds.
Choose the grounds and read what documentation you need to apply for a visa.
You can find more information about the issuance of visas on the following pages The Law on Foreigners, Visa regulations and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or you can contact the nearest diplomatic and consular representative office of the Republic of Serbia.
When entering the Republic of Serbia, it is necessary to know the rules that apply to all visitors, irrespective of whether they enter with or without a visa. You can read all about the general entry requirements for Serbia on the page General Entry Requirements.
This may apply to you. If, during your stay in the Republic of Serbia for up to 90 days, you intend to work as defined in employment contract or other contract proving the employment in accordance with labor regulations, the regulations for foreigners with granted temporary stay in Serbia on one of the grounds for issuing single temporary residence and work permit apply to you. To get more information, return to the beginning of My Entry / Visa / Residence Guide and instead of "up to 90 days", choose the "up to 36 months" option for length of stay.
