Short-term visa (C visa), purpose of stay: Traveling for health reasons

If you are coming to the Republic of Serbia for a medical treatment or care in one of the registered healthcare institutions and plan to stay for up to 90 days, you can apply for a C visa.

Documents required:

  1. a completed visa application form (within online application, or a printed copy if applying at a diplomatic-consular mission);
  2. a valid passport that must have been issued within the previous 10 years and is valid at least 90 days after the intended date of departure from the Republic of Serbia. The passport also needs to have at least two consecutive blank pages;
  3. applicant’s photo;
  4. a certificate of doctor or healthcare institution specifying the need for treatment in a particular period;
  5. healthcare institution document on the provision of treatment;
  6. proof of sufficient funds to cover the treatment and other costs that may be incurred in connection with the treatment or proof that costs of medical treatment have been covered in advance or can be covered;
  7. proof of possession of adequate and valid travel medical insurance;
  8. proof of visa fee payment (electronic application is submitted to the competent authority upon payment of fee and recording of payment).

Additionally, to demonstrate the purpose of travel and the applicant's intention to leave the Republic of Serbia before the expiration of the requested visa, it is recommended to provide:

  • proof of financial means at disposal for covering the costs of living during the intended stay.
