Short-term visa (C visa), purpose of stay: Business trip

If you are planning to travel to the Republic of Serbia for business, you should know that this too can be the grounds for getting a C visa that allows you to stay in the Republic of Serbia for business purposes. You can apply for a visa online or in person at any diplomatic-consular mission of the Republic of Serbia.

Issuance of C visa for business purposes implies staying in the Republic of Serbia for up to 90 days within any 180-day period for participating in business meetings, closing business deals, attending business/professional conferences/forums, staying for equipment/production plant installation as part of business cooperation between two entities and other activities related to business cooperation.

Documents required:

  1. a completed visa application form (within online application, or a printed copy if applying at a diplomatic-consular mission);
  2. a valid passport that must have been issued within the previous 10 years and is valid at least 90 days after the intended date of departure from the Republic of Serbia. The passport also needs to have at least two consecutive blank pages;
  3. applicant’s photo;
  4. invitation letter*;
  5. proof of possession of adequate and valid travel medical insurance;
  6. proof of visa fee payment (electronic application is submitted to the competent authority upon payment of fee and recording of payment).

Additionally, to demonstrate the purpose of travel and the applicant's intention to leave the Republic of Serbia before the expiration of the requested visa, it is recommended to provide:

  • a letter from the business entity that you are visiting which explains the reason behind the visit;
  • proof of the business relationship between you and the business entity you are visiting, et al;
  • proof of financial means at disposal for covering the costs of living during the intended stay.
Apply for a C visa

*Invitation letter: If the inviter of a foreign national to the Republic of Serbia is a legal entity, the invitation letter should contain:

  • the inviter's statement that they accept their duty to bear all the costs related to foreigner’s stay and forced eviction from the territory of the Republic of Serbia, as well as the costs of possible foreigner’s placement in a shelter for foreigners, if these costs cannot be collected from the foreigner;
  • foreigner’s details (first and last name, date of birth, citizenship, travel document details);
  • inviter’s details (name, address, registration number and tax identification number, signature and stamp of the responsible person in the legal entity inviting the foreigner to visit, reason to invite the foreigner to the Republic of Serbia;
  • other details relevant for visa issuance procedure.
