Short-term visa (C visa), purpose of stay: Traveling to attend international political, scientific, cultural, sports or religious events

If you are coming to the Republic of Serbia to participate in international political, scientific, cultural, sports or religious events and plan to stay in the Republic of Serbia for up to 90 days, you can apply for a C visa.

Documents required:

  1. a completed visa application form (within online application, or a printed copy if applying at a diplomatic-consular mission);
  2. a valid passport that must have been issued within the previous 10 years and is valid at least 90 days after the intended date of departure from the Republic of Serbia. The passport also needs to have at least two consecutive blank pages;
  3. applicant’s photo;
  4. invitation letter from organizer;
  5. proof of possession of adequate and valid travel medical insurance;
  6. proof of visa fee payment (electronic application is submitted to the competent authority upon payment of fee and recording of payment).

Additionally, to demonstrate the purpose of travel and the applicant's intention to leave the Republic of Serbia before the expiration of the requested visa, it is recommended to provide:

  • proof of the planned event, including the event location and duration;
  • flight or multi-flight reservation, driver's license, vehicle insurance if travelling by own vehicle;
  • proof of financial means at disposal for covering the costs of living during the intended stay;
  • proof of intent to return to home country or third country - certificate of employment, certificate of civil, family, social status, certificate of temporary residence in a third country if you reside in a country different from home country;
  • other proof of reasons to participate in the event (e.g. previous cooperation with the organizer, membership in similar associations, etc.).
